A bluetooth mesh network with mixed reality dashboard wil allow floor managers in a smart factory to monitor and optimise factory operations in real time. Sensors on the ground will collect real time data from machines and the environment and transmit them to the cloud through a gateway device. Data is then processed and stored in a big data store in the cloud. Analytics derived from teh data is then transmitted to floor managers in real time through a mixed reality headset. Localisation is done on the mesh network to allow floor managers to walk around the factory while wearing the headset.

Many components of the project such as the embedded hardware, low level software like the sensor firmware, bluetooth protocol stack, etc... were written from scratch. The architecture was designed to be scalable, performant, and secure in order to meet the needs of the smart factory.
